  • The Park

    The Park

    When he divided up the Park of the Château in 1833, Jacques Laffitte limited the area to be developed in order to retain a number of wooded areas. In 1834 he defined specific regulations which are still in force and protect this unique environment.

    Development took place quickly but not all the lots were sold until the second Empire (the early 1850's). By the end of the 19th century, it had become a very attractive country resort for the Parisian upper middle class.
